Work In Progress!
Well, it has certainly been a while since I have written a blog for this website. I have been drowning in things to do. I genuinely can’t believe that it has been 3 months since I started this amazing and wild journey. Since my last post, I’ve established myself as an LLC, gone public with my website and socials, applied to a ton of farmers markets, set up a kitchen space to call my own, tweaked all of my recipes, and did one huge (I mean actually ginormous) shopping spree of ingredients, utensils, equipment, packaging, and storage supplies. I am so proud to say that I am officially ready for operation! I’m slowly figuring out how to get my name out there and praying this takes off soon. One has to be patient, though. All good things come in time!
Putting the business aside, my personal life has been stressful as well. Working two jobs, roughly seventy hours a week, is insane and totally draining on a person. So, I quit one of my jobs and have since worked 30-35 hours a week, giving me more time to focus on this baking bonanza. Day and night I think about this endeavor and flip back and forth from being completely ecstatic and overjoyed with the way things have worked out so far and being dreadful of the possible downfalls and every bump in the road I may cross. I guess there’s ups and downs to everything, so I can’t dwell on it too much. Truly I am grateful for the support from all of my friends, my family, my wonderfully amazing boyfriend, because I think if I didn’t, I would have given up before I even tried.
I can’t get too cocky just yet. Although amazing things are happening, anything could go wrong at any given moment. I am keeping my hopes high, while I sit and wait for people to fall in love with my food. And if I fail, I will just try and try again until I am successful!
With Love,
Sarah
